Technical Support Engineer
Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to meet operational requirements
Work with various third parties (Customers, Developers, System Administrators, and Vendors) to resolve issues
Maintain documentation through a ticketing system and update operational procedures as needed.
Working knowledge of various operation systems - Linux, Solaris, Unix, VMWare, and Windows 2003 or 2008 Server.
Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities as well as communication skills.
Note: In addition to the Essential Functions, also performs similar work-related duties as assigned.
Experience with centralized event management tools (e.g. Tivoli Omnibus, Tivoli Monitoring 6.x, BMC, SiteScope, UpTime, etc.).
Database knowledge (Oracle and MS SQL) is required.
Excellent reliability and dependability.
Strong service-oriented approach and able to manage multiple projects in an environment where work priorities change rapidly.
College degree preferred
Some college required.

General office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
A willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, is expected. The candidate will be expected to assist with coverage when other engineers are unavailable.
Physical Demands, such as:
Office environment where the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
The work requires light physical effort with frequent lifting and/or moving of materials in the 10-30 pound range and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects. May require normal range of hearing and vision to operate machinery.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
