Kūpono Government Services is looking for a qualified professional to provide system engineering support for a facility in Honolulu, HI.

The individual will provide various system engineering services for the System Engineering Branch to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge and in-depth experience with the technical concepts, practices, and procedures related to Active Directory (AD), messaging, operating systems, and information assurance tools/applications as they relate to the systems engineering mission.

  • Provide support as the Active Directory Organizational Unit (OU) administrator to manage computer, user, and security group objects.

  • Perform the duties of the Microsoft Exchange site administrator to manage user mailboxes and NPE's (Non-Person Entity) (e.g. distribution lists, organizational mailboxes, conference room accounts) in DISA (Defense Information System Agency) Enterprise Email (DEE).

  • Perform system engineering Tier II support for the CHD and Systems Support Branch.

  • Serve as the Enterprise Print Server administrator responsible for the management of the print server and creation of printer accounts.

  • Manage the Enterprise Tape Backup administration and tape library system.

  • Serve as the Enterprise Network Attached Storage (NAS) administrator which involves managing folder quotas and top level folders, and assign/train folder managers on NTFS (New Technology File System) security.

  • Support and manage Tri-service, Navy, Air Force, Battalion Aid Station, VA and vendor remote access users and accounts.

  • Support and implement departmental IAVA compliance and DIACAP documentation.

  • Support and manage the operation, deployment, and implementation of IA tools with focus on Host Base Security System (HBSS).

  • Perform duties of Enterprise Remote Access VPN (Virtual Public Network) Administrator with emphasis on working with the TAMC Network Team in troubleshooting user remote session and connection issues.

  • Serve as system administrator for the TAMC Clinical Terminal Server farm of 4 servers.

  • System administration of Enterprise servers (approximately 8-9 servers), insuring software and server upgrades (approximately 1-5 monthly) are completed within established deadlines ranging from 1 week to several months depending on complexity and urgency).


  • Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Required Experience:

  • IAT Level I and 5 or more years in-depth work experience with the technical concepts, practices, and procedures related to Active Directory (AD), messaging, operating systems, and information assurance tools/applications. Experience in server administration (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection Servers, Enterprise Print Server, Clinical Terminal Server). IT systems engineering support with supporting a similar sized facility, environment, and customer base as TAMC, workload, and complexity.

  • Computer Environment- MC 2012 Server Admin (Exam 70-411)

  • Required Certification:

  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II - GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security

  • Clearance:

  • Must have a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) or a NAC must be initiated.

IT-2 Level requirements: 1) A favorable review of local personnel, base/military, medical, and other security records as appropriate. 2) Initiation of a NAC with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NACLC). An unfavorable completion of the NACLC will result in loss of privileges.

  • Health Requirements:

    The following requirements are, except where otherwise indicated, considered essential:
  • A written statement from a physician that the individual is free of all communicable diseases or valid documentation.

  • Tuberculosis Screening . IPPD (Mantoux Intermediate Strength PPD 5-TU), unless contraindicated, will be administered within 6 months prior to reporting to TAMC or SBHC. Retesting will be required annually thereafter. The individual will be required to provide documentation to the Occupational Health Clinic. Positive tuberculin reactors will provide normal results of a chest x-ray.

  • Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps & Varicella Screening . Screening tests for the presence of Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps & Varicella antibodies can be performed and individuals with non-protective titers must be immunized prior to reporting to TAMC. If an individual has had the disease/diseases, a statement from a physician or authorized official attesting to the fact of the employee immunity if required.

  • Tetanus-Diphtheria . The individual is required to have had a Tetanus- Diphtheria immunization within the past 10 years. Documentation must be provided prior to reporting to TAMC.

  • Polio . The individual is recommended to have had a completed series of Polio vaccine prior to reporting to TAMC.

  • Hepatitis B vaccine . Required for all personnel with duties involving direct patient contact.

  • Annual influenza vaccine required for all personnel with duties involving direct patient contact.

  • Documentation of Results. All personnel will be required to furnish documentation and results of these medical requirements, which will be received by the Occupational Health staff during in processing. Personnel who are unable to furnish documentation will not be considered medically cleared and, subsequently, not be able to start work until there prerequisites are met.
